Help with this app

Add a vehicle and your mileage rate, then record date, from/to text, purpose and distance. Use the return-journey toggle where appropriate and choose miles or kilometres. Rates are user-entered and the claimable total is an estimate, not a tax determination.

Filter journeys and share a PDF/CSV report, or export a full JSON backup. A locked report preserves its snapshot; unlock it explicitly before changing journeys it protects.

Information on your device

MileageBook stores vehicles, registrations, user-entered rates, journey locations/purposes/dates/distances, locked report snapshots and optional odometer photographs in local SQLite and app-owned files. Location names are text entered by you; the app does not record GPS or map a route.

Odometer photographs are copied into app storage without modifying the source. A complete JSON backup contains saved records and photo bytes, including any retained source metadata; it is not encrypted.

The core workflow works without an internet connection. We do not receive your app content through the app and do not operate a NoCloud server for it. The app has no account registration, advertising, subscription, tracking SDK or third-party behavioural analytics. We do not sell personal information. We cannot access or recover your local app content remotely.

Permissions and sharing

Camera access is requested only when you choose an odometer photograph. Backup import uses the operating-system file picker and exports use its share sheet. Device location, background GPS, microphone, contacts and notification access are not required.

A photograph, document or backup you select through a system picker may come from a cloud provider you use. When you choose Share, the operating system passes a copy to your selected destination. Email, messaging, file and cloud-storage services have their own privacy practices. NoCloud does not receive that copy unless you deliberately send it to us, for example by email.

Storage and deletion

Use the app controls to delete journeys; reports may need to be unlocked first. Unreferenced odometer copies are removed when saved state is loaded. App-owned report/backup files are removed after normal sharing. Interrupted operations and operating-system/recipient copies may remain until their own cleanup.

Removing the app or losing your device can remove your only copy. Device backups and transfers are controlled by your operating system and settings; do not rely on them as a guaranteed recovery mechanism. NoCloud provides no cloud backup or recovery. Deleting app content does not delete source files, exports or backups stored elsewhere. Cleanup runs when the app performs the relevant operation, not continuously while it is closed. Normal file deletion is not a promise of forensic secure erasure.

App stores, support and this website

The store handles purchases and downloads under its own policies and may provide sales statistics or platform diagnostic reports. This is separate from the app’s local processing.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send through Gmail. Routine support emails are deleted 12 months after an enquiry closes, except information needed for a continuing dispute or legal obligation. Avoid attaching private photographs, documents or customer records unless necessary. Visiting this website sends request information to its hosting provider, Cloudflare. Privacy questions and requests

Email ascaidevlabs@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request” to ask about, access, correct or request deletion of information you sent us. Identify the relevant email conversation without attaching private app content. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the person concerned. For content stored only on your device, use the app’s controls; we cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.
