RedactSafe

Actually remove sensitive information.

Help with this app

Open a JPEG/PNG image or unencrypted PDF, draw opaque black or white redactions and generate a new flattened copy. Inspect every output page before sharing. The original is unchanged. All PDF text becomes an image; text you leave visible can still be read by people or OCR.

There is no document history or draft backup. Save the output you need before using Clear draft or Finish and clear draft. Drafts are removed when the app next launches. The app does not automatically discover secrets or provide text-extraction verification.

Information on your device

RedactSafe privately copies the source and uses temporary working pages, marks and generated previews. It has no persistent document-history database. RGB reconstruction discards imported image metadata.

Exported PDFs contain newly constructed raster pages. Original text objects, forms, annotations, attachments and source metadata are not copied into the result. Visible information you did not cover remains present. A flattened output does not prove that you redacted every sensitive fact.

The core workflow works without an internet connection. We do not receive your app content through the app and do not operate a NoCloud server for it. The app has no account registration, advertising, subscription, tracking SDK or third-party behavioural analytics. We do not sell personal information. We cannot access or recover your local app content remotely.

Permissions and sharing

Camera access is requested when you take a photograph. Photos and documents are chosen through system pickers. Camera/photo input must provide a supported JPEG or PNG; encrypted or damaged PDFs cannot be processed. Microphone, contacts, device location and notifications are not required.

A photograph, document or backup you select through a system picker may come from a cloud provider you use. When you choose Share, the operating system passes a copy to your selected destination. Email, messaging, file and cloud-storage services have their own privacy practices. NoCloud does not receive that copy unless you deliberately send it to us, for example by email.

Storage and deletion

Clear draft and Finish and clear draft remove app-owned working files. Interrupted drafts are swept on the next launch. Returning from preview removes that generated output while retaining the editable draft. Dismissing sharing retains the draft for retry. Recognised picker copies are tracked for cleanup after import, failure or cancellation, with interrupted cleanup retried on startup; unrelated copies are preserved. Supported stale share caches older than one day are pruned on a later launch or share.

Removing the app or losing your device can remove your only copy. Device backups and transfers are controlled by your operating system and settings; do not rely on them as a guaranteed recovery mechanism. NoCloud provides no cloud backup or recovery. Deleting app content does not delete source files, exports or backups stored elsewhere. Cleanup runs when the app performs the relevant operation, not continuously while it is closed. Normal file deletion is not a promise of forensic secure erasure.

App stores, support and this website

The store handles purchases and downloads under its own policies and may provide sales statistics or platform diagnostic reports. This is separate from the app’s local processing.

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send through Gmail. Routine support emails are deleted 12 months after an enquiry closes, except information needed for a continuing dispute or legal obligation. Avoid attaching private photographs, documents or customer records unless necessary. Visiting this website sends request information to its hosting provider, Cloudflare. See website and support privacy for details and provider policies.

Privacy questions and requests

Email ascaidevlabs@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request” to ask about, access, correct or request deletion of information you sent us. Identify the relevant email conversation without attaching private app content. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the person concerned. For content stored only on your device, use the app’s controls; we cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.
